    2011 CLS63 W218 M157 Boost Request Issue

    Hello Guys!

I'm trying to tune 2011 CLS63 W218 M157 MED 17.7.3 ECU. The car has Weistec w.3 turbos, full exhaust, forged pistons and rods, darton sleeves and Renntec cooling. On stock tune it shows 540hp and 700nm on flywheel, after two days on the dyno I got 650hp and 1000nm at flywheel. The problem I got now is boost control goes down from 1.3 bar at 4000 RPM to 0.75 bar at redline. I tried almost all variables in the calibration but it looks like some kind of limiter is holding the boost (torque, load) from the point I want it to be. The Boost Control DC is staying at 65-70% and Weistec says that these turbos should produce about 800hp so I think they should give some extra power. Also some times throttle closes a little that I think is the second issue I need some help with.

I attached the latest log and tune.

Thank everyone for any help in this thread.

Also, I'm ready to pay some money for good information with this car and future projects.

what happens when you increase DC with rpm to try and maintain boost?

The problem was that there is no needed tables in HP Tuners to turn off all limits. We flashed another file built in WinOLS and then re-read it and tune with HP Tuners. Only that helped.

To HP Tuners team: I can send you the file that worked so you can check it for additional tables to add them in VCM Suite.

Do you have your stock tune file? Quick look at your logs and the first thing I would do is tune LTFT to be <5% so that your fueling is correct and the ecu is not adding a lot of fuel to get to your Commanded EQ. This is done by tuning the MAF Airflow vs. Period table. Your LTFT B1 is 14-15% and LTFT B2 is 9-11% in both your runs. Then I would start tuning the boost and turbo DC.

    11.962 @ 117.14mph-AFE dry air filters, ROW boxes, & stock tune - 2/25/16
    12.214 @ 115.22mph-AFE dry air filters, ROW boxes, & EC V5 dyno tune - 4/21/16
    12.057 @ 115.97mph-AFE dry air filters, ROW boxes, & EC V6 tune - 2/3/17
    12.067 @ 116.30mph-AFE dry air filters, ROW boxes, MBH headers, midpipes, X-pipe, & EC V7 header tune - 3/25/18
11.844 @ 119.14mph-AFE dry air filters, ROW boxes, MBH headers, Quaalude midpipes w/Mag. cats & Vibrant mufflers, X-pipe, & Quaalude HP Tuner tune - 12/6/18

Your throttle shuts of because of boost limit, just raise Max Overboost (ECM 11279) to 2.5 psi,
then to maintain boost and hold it much longer increase Torque to Load in the range of 70-80% at 4500 -> 5500

that's what I use to eliminate limits.
