If you're gonna disable the TCC lockup alltogether, it's just as well to try the methonds listed above. The OEM version of my table had several numbers, all different. Again, raising all numbers in this table by 30 points solved my issue.

Not sure if disabling the TCC completley is a good idea, but if you do, keep a close eye on your tranny temps.

Its definately not a smart thing to do.

    - MPG drops
    - tranny temps rise a lot
    - clutch wear increases a lot
    - I would also presume that there is some increased engine wear as well

I would not suggest using settings for a V8 in a V6. They often give you results that are either not optimal or not what you expect.

This is what I found in mine. I capped the min table @ 55 and the max to 100. Setting the min above 60 was a little "harsh" to me.....

I ran some scans, and I don't think my surge is related to my torque converter settings. I think I have an o2 sensor that is shorted out, or the wiring to it is shorted out. The reading jumps all over the place, from less than 50mv to over 800mv. So the computer is probably compensating for that, causing the surge. I still have a very harsh unlock on downshift when coming to a stop though. I've changed the max and min tables to 50, and 100, and still having the same issue. I'm wondering if I have a bad part after the trans rebuild.

Surge can also be caused by a worn valve body I believe. Maybe ask what they used in your ebiold. Tried cleaning the MAF?

The valve body is brand new, and it had the same issue after the rebuild with the previous valve body and the new one. I haven't done anything with the MAF yet, but before I try that I'm going to try and fix that o2 sensor issue. Its indicative of a shorted wire, it's just a matter of where.

You really can't disable the TC functions at this time, i've tried several times using everything imaginable. There are tables in the PCM that we cant see that still control the TC. Mine locked once in a great while under weird times even after it was disabled.
