    Infiniti g37 dyno

    Hi, i tested yesterday HPtuners in an AUTOMATIC 2013 g37 here is the results: in 3rd gear from stock 267.2hp to 279.6hp and final pass in 4th gear of 292.3hp. The only thing the car have is exhaust from the manifolds to the back.

    Now i need to fix the delay in the throttle to get better 60 foots on the track.

    Nice numbers. Especially since my Nissan buddies are verbally defecating on HP Tuners. The only thing they seem to know is UPREV THIS and UPREV THAT. LOL!

    Do you have headers installed?

    No headers.. just exhaust and cat delete

    hmm we just ran a 2010 370z manual on our dynocom manual trans and it has resonator and muffler delete only. Customer has us doing a cat delete today and then trying to tune it.

    So far it made 288.2 rwhp @ 7250 SAE and 241.8 ft lbs @ 3000

    I tune another g37 yesterday with e85 on the street just to put everything perfect to go to the dyno and the program work perfect dialing injectors and e85.!!! Timing is just a little bit tricky but need to read and learn more about this program and the other program to understand perfect, i compare and is almost the same ideology because nissan make a different timing method. Its just how long you want to delay the coil fire and the computer adjust by itself or something like that.!!!

    Yikes...Seems like it still has some work to go on that tune? Any current results?

    My 2007 V36 G35 Sedan with the VQ35HR and 5spd Auto is at 326 RWHP @ 7,400 and 284 RWTQ @ 5,200 at 204K miles.
    Put down 296 RWHP and 262 TQ prior to ANY tuning at all with 178K mile OE spark plugs in the car.

    HPS silicon Post MAF intake tubes
    DC Sport Headers
    Z1 Motorsports 2.5" high flow cats
    Custom 2.5" dual exhaust that started out as a Z1 Y-pipe.
    I removed the actual Y-pipe and put a X-pipe in its place.
    I used a pair of Magnaflow 2.5" inlet/outlet 4" diameter mufflers in place of the resonators.
    Then I added a pair of center inlet, offset outlet 2.5" Magnaflow 14" case mufflers in place of the OEM mufflers.
    Finished the exhaust with a pair of 3" to 4" exhaust tips fit over the 2.5" ID outlets.
    Stillen aluminum underdrive pulley.
    I road tuned the car with Uprev.

    I used Engine Analyzer and recreated the VQ35HR. I modeled the engine with the OEM cam timing positions and came up with a very stock looking power graph. Then I played with the intake cam advance and exhaust cam retard to generate the best WOT power curve. I then altered the cam timing maps for maximum output from about 2/3 power and above. The far right 3 entries of the MAP have my timing map creation. Up through 12.99 msec base time the maps are stock. The values between are interpolated. It drives and runs much more smoothly and has much more torque even in normal driving.
    Almost all power gains from tuning are from the cam timing map changes alone. From 7,000-8,000 rpm the software model predicted a 40-50 hp gain in output retarding the exhaust cams from the factory spec of 15* to 30*. All I can say is where the power dropped off before it pulls hard all the way to the 7,800 rpm throttle kill. If the engine did not have 204K on it, I would probably bump the rev-limit to 8,200 rpm. Software model is showing 382 HP @ 7,500 rpm and 320 TQ @ 5,000.

    I revised the throttle mapping and have it very aggressive. When you jump on the throttle from a stop, the car will haze the tires with the traction control on through 1st and 2nd gear. I am sure the factory 3.91 gear may have a little to do with that though as it has always been fairly easy to spin the tires.
