Thread: Torque management problem or not?

    Torque management problem or not?

    ECM E38
    TCM T42

They used a e38 engine os for the ecm
used a different os in order to use a 4l80e

Problem is I thought I deleted all torque management, but notice the etc is acting weird and the timing is being pulled at part throttle. When I log torque management, I am still getting tq management showing for the "trans" meaning transmission. I also logged the torque management advance and you can see it coming in. The car runs like its running against itself or as if brakes are being applied sometimes during part throttle.

I do not know where the extra torque management is coming from.

Can you take a look at this rough tune.

    Thx

PS. wideband was disconnected disregard that afr

Put the stock values back in the tables, Trans > TM > Abuse Mode, and see what happens.

The abuse mode under the transmission tab only? circled below?

I did not see an abuse mode under the ecm engine tables.

    Correct.

I'm not fer sure, but it's something like those tables do the opposite of what you'd logically think, zeroing them out makes it think it's always in abuse mode. Or something like that. I've never seen a concrete explanation of exactly how they work but many examples of weird shit happening after they get messed with.
