    5.7 hemi vvt disable?

    Is there a way to disable the vvt on these hemis all the way? I know its used to increase fuel mileage, im more interested in power. any idea on how do this?

    I believe all you have to do is disable exhaust camshaft phaser. There is an enable/disable tab for four camshafts. Since the 5.7 only has one camshaft, three of the tabs are set to disable from the factory. What I have found to work best is take the WOT cam phase table and apply it to your regular table for a nice, smooth transition through your rpm range.

    Removing your vvt will lower your power.. you should learn about adjusting the cam phase.. people will say it doesn't work but if you know how to it will give you gains.

    FWIW - according to a recent blog by the tuning school they are able to squeeze out a little more top end power by tuning VVT.
