Trying to tune the VVE tables. Car keeps going into reduced power mode with MAF off

Is there anyway to avoid going into reduced power mode when you turn off the maf? I'm trying to tune the VVE tables and I just want to make sure I'm not missing a step. Is it okay to tune like this or would this affect the tune itself being in reduced power mode.

Shouldn't go into reduced power mode. Did you disable the CEL associated with failing the MAF?

Ben it was a ZL1 also had another issue more recently trying to VE tune a 18 SS. The car already had headers and some mods but as soon as I put it in VE mod the car would chug and die after a cam swap. Wouldn't even stay running, if I hit the throttle it felt like it had a two step. Car ran fine on the MAF though. On a couple 18-19 ZL1s the car would run okay but it would go into reduced power mode. Even if I removed the MAF cel

are you sure it isn't just super rich? pull 20% out of the VVE and see if it runs.

Yep mine was doing that. I pulled about 10% fuel at low map range and no more reduced power mode.

It will go into REP if its too rich. Kinda like FEME on Fords. Pull fuel out of VVE
