    Hard Limit to Idle RPM?

Just for the sake of tuning the bottom of some tables, I am trying to command a very low idle RPM.

There seems to be a floor at about 650 rpm, where it won't drop below.

Anyone had success in idle rpm lower than this?

there is a switch on Tricore's to manually set our idle, think it's called like idle override, you could enable to override and set it to something lower if you want.

    We have:

[ECM] 44218 - Target Idle Speed Park/Neutral : The target idle speed for an automatic or manual transmission with the driveline disengaged.

Which works just fine for speeds above 650, but when you try to go below, commanded idle RPM (logged value) is 649.

Even after trying to enforce a lower maximum value here:

[ECM] 44223 - Maximum Idle Speed Drive vs. ECT: Maximum desired idle speed in drive in relation to engine coolant temperature.

I just happened to tune a friends 2012 GT 5.0 today and his idle rpm was set to 600 on the stock tune.

Did you happen to notice what rpm it actually idled at?
