Good morning!
I'm needing some advice from Whipple equipped users. So my issue is that my current OS is not fully supported by HP Tuners, that being I do have access to some basic PID's, but I cannot see knock retard/MCT or some other pertinent data. Also, it appears I cannot make changes to my tune as it will render the throttle locked and error out (haven not tried, but other users have reported this issue when trying to modify the Whipple OS), I do not get the OS patch message when I read out the tune, and none of the Whipple flight controls show up in the VCM scanner on my OS which also leads me to believe that at this time this OS is not fully supported. Additionally, the Editor will not identify my hardware type, it must be manually selected before readout can occur.
This is on a 2017 Mustang GT/Whipple Tune
So, I believe my only solution moving forward to is to migrate away from the Whipple OS, onto a fully supported calibration, if I want to properly log/modify the tune.
I have contacted support twice over the last 3 months (lost my original E-mail so had to provide an additional request), but no word back as of yet as to when/if it will be supported.
At this point there are some changes I would like to make such as headers/more boost, but am stuck until I can either get support for this OS, or change OS entirely. I really love the Whipple power by gear feature, and would love to keep this OS so that can remain, in addition to being able to keep both the MCT sensor and IAT sensor in play as well.
Any advice appreciated, still have my fingers crossed that support will come through on this, but if not I need to prepare for the next option as I move forward, and figured there were some experienced eyes in here that may be able to offer an alternative solution.
