    high/low octane sprak tables

never done any tuning on GEN V

im starting to look over then tune on my 2104 silverado and noticed the spark tables arent very smooth.

are the later platforms similiar to the GEN 3 and 4s that everything should be nice and smooth, blended and not sharp and jaggety?

Vehicle runs well, has been rouhgly 3 years on the current dyno tune, I want to start datalogging and dialing it in more.

thanks for any suggestions, or comments on where to read up and get familiar with the GEN V platform.

(5.3, dod delete, perfromance cam, stock converter, long tubes, high flow exhaust, CAI)

There are multiple multipliers and other tables that add/remove spark. You can't just look at the main tables and assume things aren't correct because they are not smooth.

true, but a sawtooth table usually is a good indicator its not correct.
I ask, did you even open my tune?

Your truck is still running a nearly stock tune - stock timing and all - Did you check it? Posting a stocker for comparison... If this was tuned previously, they didn't do anything and you got ripped, but what else is new with cheap tunes - right...

I don't agree with this statement at all. Yes I looked at your file. Your timing table is stock.

cheap? no. One of the best tuners did this. No i wont say the name as Id like to know more before calling someone out,
This has a cam, head work, no cats, LT headers, seems it wouldnt run if it wasnt tuned.
But, like stated earlier, i know nothing about gen 5 engines, and that is why i want to learn, and figure out what was, or was not, done to my 'tune'
If i got swindeled, obvioulsy not happy about that, but, that is a part of learning right?

Well, after looking again the one I posted was actually modified with a handheld from the looks of it. It's actually got DOD disabled and a minor trans tune. I didn't look close enough at it in the beginning. However the one you posted is 100% stock, so you either posted the wrong one or something is really amiss here......

I don't see anything wrong with the tune. The log doesn't show much of anything though. Knowing how these engines operate, I think the tune is fine, including the spark table.

    thank you.
as stated, im learning gen V platform, so i am going over everything in my tune to see, if i can make any updates to it, see if any areas were missed, or if its right on and not needing anything, just verifying all is gtg.

    thank you again
