    98 silverado 4.3l pcm swap

    I have a friend with a 98 silverado 4.3l and a bad pcm. He doesn't have much money and needs the truck running. Can anyone tell me what pcm's will interchange? The service number on the one out of the truck is 09355699. I'm just looking for any options that he could find in a junk yard.

    And does the new pcm need the vin changed in it for the truck to run?
