as mentioned its pretty advanced. i dug into it once and found out i dont have the skill to use it, probably not saying much there but this is what i learned:

    1) you need a hex file for the ecu. this isnt always too hard to get but what is...the decryption file that is required to make it understandable. this is the .bin file that xdf requires.
    2) you need to search and figure out the extra tables you want and then compare them to the available room left in the ecu. sometimes the upgrades just wont work due to lack of data space.
    3) you also need to have tuner pro xdf...i believe its free but you need it in order to make this all work.

here is the programming link for the xdf generation walkthrough...it doesnt tell you how to figure out anything about 1 or 2 though.

Did you ever get a L5P XDF done?

Open up your wallet. I've heard of 3k to get your hands on that file.

Is there a how to or something like that to get pointed in the right direction for using winols to make xdf's? I learned SATCOM on the fly, I can probably figure this out with some breadcrumbs

You will need the SPS bin for the OS you want to work with. Then you will need the A2L for the OS you want to create the xdf for. Get ready to spend some money because an A2L is not cheap. You will also need WinOLS and the plugin for TunerPro.

So before you create your first xdf you will be about $3000+ out of pocket. And that is for only one xdf. The other will be cheaper though.
