Thread: added 5% to entire primary ve table and afr goes leaner

    added 5% to entire primary ve table and afr goes leaner

    In maf calibrating mode. o2s disabled. ltfts cleared etc.. Wideband hooked up and working. added 5% to primary ve table
    and afr went from 15.5 to 17.5 I am obviously missing something. any help appreciated New to hp tuners

    Post the tune.

    You said your are tuning the MAF but added to the VE? Or which are you doing right now?
    2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.

    If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

    started out to calibrate maf. was trying to add some fuel to bring the afrs a bit closer. can you not add to the ve table when in maf tuning?

    Well you can add the VE when doing the MAF but if the tune is setup to use the MAF only after say 200rpm, it's not going to do exactly what you want.

    If the goal was to bring in the air fuel ratio better while MAF tuning, keep adding fuel to the MAF. Then switch to the VE only and once both are done go back to a mixed mode.
