    help on 04.5 dmax lly

    I have an 04.5 duramax crew cab 2500hd. I was wanting to know what i needed to tune it and if it would we worth it. currently i have the banks six gun and boss hoss exhaust. I purchased the hp tuners pro about 2 months ago to do my 05 gto. Any info would be appreciated thanks. Teddy

    you would just need 2 credits remaining on your unit & contact a moderator or support to get the newest beta so you can download the file from your 2500hd.

    have 4 credits left from when i purchased hp. so i guess all i need to do is update.

    Yep, that's all there is to it. I've been running the beta on my 2004.5 LLY for about two weeks and it's been solid.

    Start out with the simple things, like moving rev/speed limiters and correcting tire sizes while you run your Banks hardware. Then as you get a tune you want to try, pull the Banks and put in the rest of the tune.

    Just make sure all plug and play hardware is disconencted from the PCM when you read and write to it.

    im gonna try and get keith to add this to the help files...seems like a couple of people may have run into this issue.

    hey MT if you have any hints, tips, or general info that may help us Im sure we'd appriciate anything you could provide *hint hint nudge nudge*. Alot of us, like myself, are gassers so this whole diesel thing is pretty new & confusing to say the least .
