I go to the track and sometimes I forget to turn off the traction control
using the button on the center console on my 2000 C5. Can traction
control be programmed off with the Hptuner ?
Thanks >>>>> INTHERED

I relocated the traction control button on my 03 5.3 liter truck. I noticed that when the switch module was unplugged, TC appeared to be off. This may be an option for you.
No, it can't be turned off. However there is a device that is easy to hook up that will retain your last setting in TC. I just can't remember what it's called. Try a Google search.Originally Posted by INTHERED
Let me add a little advice. When you're at the track you need a routine. After a few sessions it becomes automatic and you won't forget. Here's an example.
Fasten seat belt.
Start engine.
Adjust seat position.
Shut off TC.
Roll up windows.
Good luck to ya.

i agree routine is a definate if u bracket race. breaking bad habbits and making yourself do it time after time. practice it everytime u get in your car. u will be more consistant in your reaction times by having a clear head and good habits in practice.

SLP sells somethin to reverse the switch so it is automatically off when u start the car and has to be physically turned ON instead of off.Originally Posted by INTHERED

The traction control in electric throttle vehicles is a
lot more involved than the F-bodies. The "reverse
module" might work or there might be a 'vette version
out there.
There are some ETC traction control things you can
kill. On trucks and a year or more back I found these
under the DFCO tab. May have moved as things get
rearranged in the software, haven't been in that truck
for some time now. Killing these made some hellacious
improvement in throttle response / acceleration as it
quit holding back the throttle opening. This truck was
AWD on drag radials with a blower. Traction control,
phooey.
Thanks I will check it out - INTHEREDOriginally Posted by gold98Z28

You're welcome. I can't contribute much to this forum. I'm ignorent when it comes to tuning so it feels good to be able to contribute something.Originally Posted by INTHERED
