Where, besides the MAF is a good place to put the IAT. Terrible heat soak at the track. Outside temps were 45 but iat was 120 by the time I waited in line and got to run. Then times suck cause it thinks the air is 120. Where you guys mounting them?

Put it as close to the air filter as possible.
That is why the factory MAF sensor is at or built into the airbox. The engine is sucking in air from the fenderwell so the IAT temps will stay low.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.
If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.
