Having a bad day... Please help. :)

So I have hp tuners all set up. Did a stock read of the PCM. Saved that file, put it in a secure location. Decided to modify my stock tune. Copied the file to a new file which we will call "modified_tune". From there I went to change Active Exhaust parameters. All is good, I'm happy with my changes so I save my file. I decide to write the tune back to the car and take my first foray into writing tunes and it asks me to license the file. So I select my two credits and license the file. Everything at this point is awesome!

I click the chip icon to write again and now it is telling me I don't have a license. I am confused so I close the window, close VCM Editor, ensure the connections to the MPVI2 are good. Everything checks out. Open VCM Editor, open my tune, click the chip icon for write and it give me the same error.

Now I'm starting to freak out thinking I blew 100.00 for nothing. Anyone have any input or feedback on this issue? I've read all the help files and I didn't do anything out of the ordinary.

zf8 tcm cost 4 credits to license. If you have no plans to tune the tcm do a new read of the ecm and select do not read for the tcm. Otherwise, purchase 4 credits, license the TCM and tune away.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

Thank you for the support especially on a Saturday. Doing a write now with the TCM not being read. Good lesson to be learned here. Thank you for your help!

And the write was successful! Now she's stupidly loud in "Default" mode. Time to now change up "Sport" and "Track" modes.

    Thanks again!
