    Ethanol Content Channel

    Hi guys,

I would like to see the % of ethanol in the gas I get from my favorite stations - up to 10% ethanol *. I do not have any E85 stations near by unless I drive a long ways.. If I enable flex fuel I will get the channel but do I need to have all of the ethanol parameters correct? I'm thinking yes.

The Flex Fuel Ethanol % vs. AFR is populated correctly. I also have most of the FFV tables populated.

Stoich AFR Init, what should this be? Can someone running E85 share a screenshot of the Flex Fuel main page please? Do I need to run a different fuel ratio as well in Closed Loop Lambda at WOT (Flex Fuel) ?

Knock Retard is the reduction or prevention of knock by lowering ignition timing:

(+) Adding Knock Retard = Reducing Timing. PCM is seeing knock.
(--) Lowering Knock Retard = Increasing Timing. PCM isn't seeing knock.

wouldn't you need an ethanol content sensor to get that reading?

I think the Ford strategy uses the O2 sensors and some logic to estimate this so no sensor is needed. But I've never tried using it myself.

There’s a thread in here somewhere that lists all the parameters to get flex fuel setup. Think they copied the flex fuel settings in the truck map

Find a F150 cal that has flex fuel enabled and copy over all the flex fuel data. That's what i used to start out.

If you enabled the logic you need to repoll the PIDs for it to appear
