Ram SS/T vs Jeep stock tune

Hi, I'm new to forums of any kind as well as efi tuning but I was able to pull the tunes from my stock 1998 Ram SS/T as well as my 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.9 limited. Since they are basically the same engine but the jeep requires premium fuel I thought it was interesting to compare the two. The only difference I could find was in the timing. I would post them here, but I don't know how to do that either. This is not so simple a my old superchips programmer! The Ram has a new cam swap though so I guess I'll have to learn how this is done. Anyone else have any experience with these?

Mine says that "I don't have a stock tune to backup" with my jeep.

I only read my jeep tune and it seems to me that the first time I tried, it said something like "no vin found." I selected "jtec+" and asked it to read again and it did. I think I would have to put the vin in manually if I was to try and tune it, but I only wanted to be able to compare the jeeps tune to the one in the SS/T.

Are you using the latest standard release or the latest beta release? The beta is the most up to date so they usually suggest using that for the best results when reading and writing files...

I would be curious to see the difference in Spark also from 87 to 93 octane stock tunes. I have a 96 Jeep 5.2 that I might want to up the timing on for premium fuel and it would be cool to have a good idea of approximately where to start. To post the tune files go to the bottom right of this page where it says "Go Advanced" and then in there you can attach the files by dragging them from your folder into the box there....

At wide open throttle it looked to me like the 5.9 premium tune had about 5 degrees more in it than the regular tune in my truck. @ 4800 rpm that was was 27 vs 33.5

I would love to see them, to compare them. I own a 5.9 ZJ, and want to tune mine.
