97 Tahoe 4L80 Swap tuning

I have 97 Tahoe that we swapped in a 4L80E. I had another post about segment swaps where it sounded lit it wasn't an option for the older Vortec ECUs. I couldn't figure out how to change the titles so I'm creating a new post that matches my issue.

I have a file from a 98 Silverado with a 4L80 and the same OS. How can setup the 97 ECU (OS 16263425) for the 4L80? Can I just swap over the transmission settings? Or could I get an ECU from a Vortec Silverado with an 4L80E and then update the engine settings to match the stock Tahoe settings?

I just did this with a 99. I did the segment swap with one with the same OS. It must be the same OS or it won't allow you to do the swap. Its in the compare dropdown. You will also need to change a pin in your harness and add a speed sensor wiring or get an adapter harness. You can get on off ebay for 100. That's what I would recommend because the 60 plug doesn't fit the 80 exactly right.
