Attempting to tune a 2018 Express van with the 4.3v6 direct injected engine. The list shows the Silverado with the 4.3, but not the van. Anyone tried to tune one of these anyway? From what I have found it is the same ECM, so I am just wondering if HP forgot to add it to the list since they list all the other express vans with the V8s in them.

I have realized that tuning is a rabbit hole. No problem diving down this hole, in fact I jumped willingly. Just want to avoid hitting every ugly rock or root on the way down it.
Can you read the file from it?
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.
If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.
That 5th gen 4.3 is a pretty neat engine.
To 5FDP, yes, I was able to read the vehicle and it allowed me to make changes. That was encouraging to say the least. I was on a time crunch, and was not able to wait for an answer, so I just went ahead and flashed it, and it worked. Cost was 4 credits, same as a Silverado with that same engine. Did some digging and found the ECM can be the same part number. While I know the OS could be different between the truck and the van, I decided to risk it. And it worked without issue.
To Sirius, I was so stoked when I heard they went to DI with the newer 4.3. Not sure what I can get out of it, but for the moment, the tuning is for diagnostic purposes. Hope he lets me play a bit and see what we can improve upon.
