I have a customer that has a 2014 Ford F250 with the 6.7L engine. The reductant heater is bad and is setting DTC P20BA "reductant heater A control performance" which is a class 2 DTC. Service info says this DTC with put the vehicle into derate mode. Since the customer lives in Florida, he wants to disable the DTC, but wants to know if the vehicle will still derate.

So, If I change the DTC P20BA from "class 2" to "disable", will the vehicle still derate, but just not turn on the check engine light? Or will it ignore the DTC altogether?
