    LT1 24x 0411 pcm OS

I know to use 12212156 OS but what is preferred form? From a 2002 Express or 2002 Camaro? A Tech2 was used to load a VIN and OS from a 2002 Express van onto my pcm but before I license it with Hptuners and calibrate it, I wanted to see what others use. Would it make more sense to use a VIN and OS from a FBody and calibrate it?

If your Gen 2 LT1 has a 24x CKP Sensor, then the 2002 Express calibration will not operate the engine - as it uses a 4x CKP Sensor. If memory serves, the Express van Fuel Segment is often used in these conversions to allow the fuel level gauge to operate (if using an OEM LT1 cluster).

Since I have access to a Tech2 would I be better off starting with a 02 Camaro 12212156 OS and change out segments? I can I change segments from 4x to 24x? Not sure about the later as I haven?t seen where that is done in hptuners.

The P01 will read whether your 24x or 4x. You can start off with either. Some people like to use the express van bc its an actual SBC i personally started with the fbody myself.

Depending on which kit you use make sure the firing order os correct and just as important the injector bank select.

Thanks. I have the Torqhead kit. With that kit installed and the pcm reflashed with a Tech2 to the Express van OS will I need to change the firing order or is that done in the Torqhead coil wire harness to the pcm? What about the injector bank? I had a Torqhead pcm tuned by PCMforLess but I could not access it with HPTuners so it was reflashed to the 02 Express van. Now I can access and read it. I haven?t licensed the pcm yet so I may go and flash it to an 02 Camaro VIN and OS. Maybe I am crazy, but I feel like it makes better sense to have a Camaro VIN and OS in the pcm. Just starting from scratch on the tune.

Torqhead modifies the PCM internally so you dont have to modify the harness firing orde. You can use the lt1 firing order in the pcm to monitor misfire but its not 100% needed.. If your using the Fbody OS the injector bank select is one of the main things to change
Off the top of my head its 01101001. Also change you tach resolution to 3 and not 6 if your fbody.

Also if you need quicker responses email me [email protected] or facebook me Bobby Dixon Jr from NY

Actually learned somthing. The system options in the P01 pcm has an option for low crank reference. Ive looked at a few and i assume they use this option when its a 4x. So its as easy as making a 1 a 0 and tune on.
