I have an 07 L92 with it's ECM and looking at an 09 6L90e. Are those compatible for a segment swap or too far apart? I thought 07-09 is good, then 10 and up or am I mistaken.

You need to program the TCM to match the 2007 computer. So a dealership level scan tool can program the TCM to match the 2007 calibration and everything will work together.
Segment swapping doesn't work with these. On the previous generation vehicles the OS has to match for it to work, likely meaning both files have to be from the exact same year to do a 4L60e to 4L80e swap.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.
If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.
Ok thanks. I said it wrong about the segment swap. If I found an 09 e38 would I have to do anything else? Is there anything better software wise for the 09 vs 07?
