    E40 spark tables

Hey all, I tuned my 2005 e40 gto speed density. I have a torqstorm blower, the car runs great no problems at all went 11.7 1/4 mile with factory 130k longblock on 5psi. On my high and low octane spark tables I have them set the same with a max of 17 degrees. Am I leaving anything on the table like this? AFR wot is steady 11.3:1 exactly where I comand it. Minor knock between 2800-3200 rpm .3-.7 or so. I have read here my low octane table should be about 4 degrees less than the high. Any input is Welcome

Look at the stock tune, there is a reason they have the low octane table have less timing.

If there is knock, the computer can remove it and reference a lower value. Then it uses the knock learn factor to pick a number between the highest value and the lowest values depending on where the KLF is.

Speed density OS's do not remove the computer ability to use both the high/low octane tables like the factory OS does. So it's best to keep less timing in the low table. Only running speed density on the stock OS would it make it run off the low table only.

Leave it at 17 and get some good non extended tip plugs like BR7EF. And do what 5FDP said.

17 degrees is low, Put it on a dyno, and find mbt. then there is no question about timing
11.3 is really rich for 5 psi.

I do run the br7ef. I just recently like last week put smaller pulley on the blower and I making 10psi now. I will drop my low octane table 4 degrees across the board compared to the high.
