Looking For Input on E-Force Install on 2013 R/T 5.7L Charger

I'm looking at installing the e-force kit on my 5.7 Charger and would like to hear suggested scenarios.

The car is stock but for a Corsa CB and K&N drop in and has been dyno tuned to 360RWHP. 180 t-stat installed. Edelbrock tech line says the kit is a 6.5 to 7psi boost.
I upgraded the brakes to the pursuit BR9 front and rear.

OK there is a big difference in price between with and without their tune. And a trip to the dyno shop is about the same price difference so it looks like purchasing without the tune is the way I'm going.

So without a tune and getting it to the shop, would you tow it, drive it slow to the shop, ask for a tune here and drive it slow to the shop?

    What do you guys say?

If you have HPtuners I believe I still have a stock 5.7 E-force tune from my 2013. May even have the unmarried SCT tuner they sent me somewhere.

I'll send the file tomorrow when on laptop. Do you get the inj and fuel pump with the tuner kit?

Yes, a complete kit, including the injectors and pump. Its the 15340 kit.

Thanks, looking forward to it. I'd be interested in how it came about too.

Of coarse E-force sends a very conservative shitty tune, but it will give him time to work out bugs and get it to the tuner.

Do not use the aluminum rubber intake gaskets they send, there is no aluminum support between the front cyls and breather ports, just thin rubber. I was chasing a boost issue for a while, when I pulled intake you could see the rubber was blowing out and bypassing boost into crankcase. Buy the Cometic Aramid Fiber Intake Gaskets C5197.

Thanks for the heads up and the Edelbrock tunes.

I did a compares to the factory tune and I was a little surprised Edelbrock don't touch the transmission. My stock charger was tuned by Injected Engineering Marietta GA and they did some work there. Not aggressive, actually in sport mode its more noticeable than not.

I see they did some fan work, unless you did, I presume they are untouched tunes from Edelbrock? There is no mention in instructions about a thermostat change. Mine is a 180?F. Did you?

I ordered the e-force 15430 kit. The "0" in the number means no tune. I see these gaskets are for the 6.1, they fit the 5.7 correct? Same torque spec you think?

    6.1 gaskets are the ones.
The fan temp changes may have been me.
No trans changes by E-force. I'm running a pretty aggressive TCM tune in mine, but trans is built with a ding's valve body and FTI 2800 stall.

Copy That, while I wait I'm looking for wide band/boost setup, wireless to device I hope. I've not looked into them.
I could do a pillar 2-pod but only if I can switch them off. I want to remain sleeper and pick my own battles.

I've not looked into this since 2005 so if you guys have recommends? I don't need state of the art top of the line. I run PLX on my TRUCK. Yeh, I will need to scan from my laptop too.

I'll keep posting wants, needs, blips & blunders, pics, and progress from start to finish with Dyno charts as I go.

    Fantastic help here so far.

    Thanks.

I'm running PLX AFR/wide band, was using the wireless to a tablet, looked good, would log highest boost, but took too long to connect and was hit and miss for connection, dumped and went wire.

Tell me how the 2013 ran on the EForce canned tune? I see horror stories of UN-drivable out of the box.
I know no two cars respond exactly the same but am curious if you ran the EForce tune at all.

Since the trans is not touched, I,m thinking of saving off my tune and just flash the ECM side for starters?
I ask "?" because I'm no Dodge tuner, and I think I remember shift points and such tied into RPM setup on the ECM side so that may be a wrong move? Just flash the whole thing?

There is an option under compare in HPtuners to make all the changes automatically from a compare tune to yours.
I cannot see this. I have my interface plugged in and a licensed tune open, then I choose the unlicensed file in compare I want to get the changes from and cannot see how to do it. Does it matter which file I open first? Do they both have to be licensed? I may be looking right at it and cannot see it.

Don't need to license to compare, Might be that I'm using the latest beta software. You saved the file on computer, opened yours, then go to compare, select my file and it should load up.

Car starts and runs fine with canned tune, just not optimal. I ran that tune for some time without changes. I would not load any of my trans stuff, believe all that was stock anyway when I put the E-force on the 5.7.

    Thanks,
I know how to work around inside compare, what I don't see how to do is migrate a compare file calibration to mine. Maybe I misunderstood. Maybe like you said, its a beta thing.

I do see I can make changes to your file and save with my interface connected to the laptop. So maybe I can flash it. I would like the migrate thing though.

Just right click on an item when comparing. I'm not on computer now to find exact wording but one should be copy all. Select a category like engine or even something like Spark or Fuel and right click that and you can copy all just from that category too.

I think you're OK with 300 vs Charger but you have to be careful copying everything to make sure you don't get different fan settings or something that aren't compatible. Car and Grand Cherokee don't mix well for example
