    Gen VII 2002 8.1L

    First, I did not see a forum section for this so placing here due to year.

    I am going to buy hptuners soon.. few things on ebay....

    My question..I swapped an 8.1L into my squarebody, had a guy rework the harness and do a hot tune. Finally swap done and she runs awesome when cold. When she hits 180ish and up.. chockes, stumbles and back fires...robbed of power.

    Could this be due to a 'hot tune' someone is guessing at or something else?

    no engine codes
    have 2 upstream 02s
    egr delete
    have maf, crank and cam sensors...

    thoughts?

    OK apparently my definition of soon is different than most!

    Good and bad news..

    Good news - bought hptuners and it arrived yesterday!
    Bad news - caught truck on fire! not too bad but too cold and busy to work on it. I will get her going soon though, hopefully, and post up my logging data. Gonna run through the software, how to log and learn about this thing!!!!
