Sometimes I should just leave things alone. Today I raised the TCC Duty Minimum Cycle by 20 across the table. Drove the car into town, and torque converter is locking up quicker and a just little bit firmer. On the way home, everything went south. Halfway home slowing down to a red light, it started making noises, shuddering like it was hitting the brakes, and popping. I got it home and pulled into the garage, put it in neutral, and killed the engine. I tried to push it farther into the garage and it would not move in neutral. So I cranked it, put it in drive, gave it a little gas, and it made a loud pop and jumped forward.

Did my torque converter crap out on me?
