    gen3 block flat response knock senors

    i have recently replaced my knock sensors with ls2 flat response type on the side of the block... i used a racetronix adapter and im getting knock at idle... when i drive it dosent do it........ p59.. iron 5.7.. ms4..

    knock sensor is tuned to the frequency of the onset of engine knock in the engine it was tested in originally with all of the original parts that engine contains.

    If you changed anything about the engine that the knock sensor was originally designed for it might not work well or at all.
    if you put the knock sensor into anything besides the engine that it was originally intended for it might not work well or at all.

    All engines make noise in varying range of sound and it's how the sensor is tuned to detect specific frequencies which are present at the on-set of knock
