Angry No Custom OS for Dodge/Jeep PCM for 2 Bar Turbocharger.... VE help.

    Hello all,

I have run into a wall and ask for assistance from the community.

My 2005 Wrangler (GEN3 PCM) is not being supported from HPTuners in the way they advertised.

They will not create a "Custom OS" for me and there are none to be found anywhere.

I have installed a Turbocharger and the required 2 bar MAP sensor. The issue I have is the VE resolution (amount of blocks) that I currently have on the stock OS.

My understanding is that I require a custom OS in order to have more blocks and such. At least, this is what I keep reading in the forums from other tuning guides.

Can anyone shed light on this, or let me know if there are other options that I am not aware of?

    Please, thanks.

without see your file, its hard to tell, but you likely have to "rescale" the map table, to allow it to read boost properly. instead of 0 to 100kpa, it needs to be 0 to 200kpa. you loose resolution, but it does allow for proper fueling

we offer custom operating systems for less than 1% of the applications we support, its a bonus for those, not the norm though for every application nor will it ever be the norm. With that said as mentioned above people have been tuning these for boost for many years now using the stock operating system.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

If you'll click on the "Ratio" axis you can then change the break points and rescale it for your new found boost.

Can you explain the break points please? I thought that was just for auto transmissions. I wish there was a book that explained in more detail what all the ECM #### codes meant... the quick description at the bottom is not enough at times.

Would a copy of my '06 turbo tune file help you out for comparison?

PM me your email and I can send it to you...I've never had any luck posting files on here. If you have an '05-'06 automatic I'll send you my 42RLE shift calculator as well.
