    Demand Values out of Table Ranges?

    Brand new to this so a little slack please. Have a 2013 Mustang running nitrous. Have been able to up the engine rpm to 7500 - nitrous window 3500 to 6200 at WOT. Also taken out some timing from 3500 to 7000 over all tables. All works just swell. Question about what values ecu uses when demand occurs out of range covered by table - rpm max in some table might be 5500 for instance. I am guessing nearest value to demand value is used. Is this correct? Am ordering the Coyote Cookbook and assume that may be enlightening. Banish's book not so much. Thanks for any help.

    Essentially most ecus use the last value, now if the value in the table is underlined, you can click it, nd change the values. This is really helpful is situations where a table ends at say 5k rpms, but your turning 8k rpms, you need that table to stssy with you throughout the band, so modifying it decreases resolution, but increases the accuracy up top

    Hmm I was hoping the banish book would be better than the cookbook - does it at least cover auto trans stuff? Can you elaborate or PM me why you didn't think it was enlightening. I have the cookbook.. it's OK.. kind of sanity check or quick reference guide but very outdated at this point.
    Knock Retard is the reduction or prevention of knock by lowering ignition timing:

    (+) Adding Knock Retard = Reducing Timing. PCM is seeing knock.
    (--) Lowering Knock Retard = Increasing Timing. PCM isn't seeing knock.

    Nearly nothing on transmissions. Few specifics like table changes followed by datalogs etc., to show results. Mostly just an introduction to EFI systems with a few elementary calculations along the way. He is obviously a bright guy and an update that is more technical would be nice.

    Ought to qualify a bit here. Banish has 2 books I think. I have the 2007 advanced tuning one. I see he has an 2009 EFI book that alleges more detail. I have not seen that one.

    The last value in the row is used when out of bounds.
