    BIN File Support

Guy's can you please add back BIN file opening support back to the editor. Since you have forced (unknowingly) the firmware updates on our cables you have rendered Version 2.24 useless as it will no longer poll our licenses from the cable. So now we are unable to use the older version to open up BIN files. Huge limitation for us that modify things outside of your software.

That is enough to not update v2.24 (and 3.6.26) and MPVI1. I have been wary, I think the best course is separate MPVI2. Thanks for the push over the line.

Especially for us that have been in this since day 1 with HPT with a large collection of Known Stock reference calibration files.

I'll bump this too. I have a few scripts where I do some binary modifications and to keep these in my HPT tune it's a slow and annoying process of

    1) Read .bin from ECU with separate tool
    2) modify .bin
    3) Upload .bin to ECU with separate tool
    4) Read entire with HPT
    5) Modify tables in HPT
    6) Write back to ECU with HPT.

Every time I want to adjust some tables HPT doesn't have listed....

    Hello.

We will be bringing back .bin -> .hpt support in the very near future.

If you are a dealer and already setup with HP Tuners, please reach out to your HP Tuners sales rep and we may be able to get you beta access.

Public availability will be announced in the very near future.

I've supported HP Tuners since you were just three young hackers back in 2003. Definitely appreciate you bringing this back. Thanks very much Keith!

    Keith,

It's been 9 months since this was posted. When will it be available?

Isn?t it the user defined parameters?

You can sorta do bin to HPT conversion with user defined parameters. But you need a file already in that OS. And you can of course only copy over calibration data.

Does the .bin to .hpt service also convert the ASW or just the calibration data?

They do now offer "tune translation" which will convert BIN files to HPT files. The older Gen3 applications are free but does require that you purchase at least 1 token to use it. Unfortunately they only come in 10packs though which runs $20. However it doesn't use the tokens for the older stuff.

No it is an online process. Go to: https://tunertools.hptuners.com/ and select "Tune Translation" and the rest is self explanatory.

Tokens are $2USD each so 100 tokens=$200 USD
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

When you convert a .bin to .hpt, are any custom OS/ASW mods also retained in the new .hpt file?
