just got my MPVI2 - issues and questions please

I got the pro version with prolink - just getting started with basic functions and already have problems and questions.

I appreciate all the much needed help and your time in advance !!!

Yes I have updated software 4.4

Yes I purchased licenses onto the new unit

Yes I have resynched the interface - although it won't do it to the MPVI2 only my old unit

I get an error message, something red about an exception fault and I have to hit continue

I am able to Bluetooth scan and log beautifully although it won't flash - says the vehicle is not licensed when the cable is connected and without the cable it says interface not recognized

So those are all the issues that got me stuck right now and my first step is to resolve all of them.

bluetooth flashing is currently not a feature in our hardware/software.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

    update / progress:

I was able to resynch the unit with the cable connected, good Wi-Fi available, and the ignition on. It showed the 2 universal credits I bough being applied to the unit.

However when I go to flash with the cable, it still says VEHICLE NOT LICENSED

    ????

note: it also never gives me the option to license it anywhere - during saving or attempting to flash

I'm not the tech assigned to your ticket and you gave very little information in the ticket, however based on what little information you did supply an educated guess tells me you probably had a license for the vehicle on your MPVI1 interface and you should be able to delete the license.dat file found in your documents-hptuners-settings folder and that should allow you to license the vehicle on your MPVI2 interface. Again, just a guess.

Thanks for your reply and the info Bill, I will try that. I can tell you that I tried my best to provide as much as possible, we sat there for over an hour searching the files and had great difficulty - most likely my fault I'm sorry. Also, yes I had the same vehicle licensed with MPVI1 and other software too on the same laptop. Folders seemed to be disorganized and at one point there was another software's info opening up when you click on the setting requested inside the HP folder. I immediately deleted all other software and tried to reinstall HP. I will try again thanks
