How Close Is Too Close For Wide Band o2?

    I have a 2013 Charger R/T I just installed a blower on w/stock exhaust manifolds and cats.
I want to install an AEM OBD interface o2 sensor pre-cat but its a short run between the cat and the manifold opening. Maybe I can get 4 to 8 inches down form it.
Is that totally too close? I have read WB o2 instructions to install sensors closer because the car had an air pump and they want it before the pump injection.

    Too close? Waste of time?

    Thanks

Thanks, Its been a while since the post. I have installed it 9-inches away from the manifold with on problems so far.

I read o2 install instructions for if one has air injection where the manifolds meet the heads to install it right at the ports. So 9 inches away should hold up.
