    5.3 th400 spark tables question

I have a 5.3 with a th400 manual valve body. I have the VSS hooked up and the computer shows the correct mph when moving. The computer although doesn?t know if I?m in park or gear. My question is what spark table is it going off of before switching to the main spark table once I start moving? Is the computer only looking at the park table and then switching to main table once I start moving? How do the spark tables work in my situation?

You should be able to log what it says. Willing to guess it's going to say D4 if the factory transmission is removed.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

I haven?t actually looked yet but what you are saying is the computer thinks it?s stuck in drive? If I left it this way does that mean when I?m parked/idling it?s reading off the In Drive table and then once I start moving it switches to the main spark table? I?ve been told since I have a manual valve body the trans is considered a manual.
In the transmission settings I have Trans Type Manual and in the PRNDL Equipped I have None selected. Is this setup correct?

I never change it to manual, it caused me weird background issues in a 5.3/Th350 rock crawler I helped tune.

I left it as a stock 4L60e, remove all the abuse modes and DTC's and never had a problem after that.

I looked today and the scanner is just showing a 1 when I log for trans selector.
I will try adjusting it for non-electric and 4l60 and see what happens.

If my thinking is right, it?s referencing the In Gear spark table and then switches to the main spark table once I meet the requirements.

add a microswitch to the shift lever, select P/N Switch under Trans tab.
