Options for trans to go behind 2018 L83 5.3L in a 55 Chevy Tri Five

I have a customer with a tri five that wants to put an L83 into it, the 4L80 won't fit without modifying the tunnel which he wants to avoid. He wants an auto in it. Will a 4L65 work behind it does anyone know? I swapped a 2016 LT1 that i put a 5 speed behind into a 67 C10 no problem but was wondering with the 8 speed trans tuning in the ecm can it be worked to control the 4l65 or is there another option to control it?

The E92 computer could never control a 4 speed auto.

You'd need a separate stand alone transmission controller.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

Thanks for confirming. I figured it probably wouldn't.

My cousin is doing a ls 5.3 and he has to go with a 4l60/65 sized trans in his tri five. The 4l80 will not fit without modification.
