i did log the timing goes negative just as i command but seem like the fuel is cutoff only when the car is not moving , if the car just moves at 2 MPH it starts popping as intended .

on a 2019 something is diff, I have tried this as well. soon as I disable DFCO THE CAR BUGS OUT and does this like autopilot thing lol, at like 30-40mph it just pulls itself right along. I have to kind of ride the brake pedal with no throttle input,,,, how can I put it. its like having the cruise control set to 40 mph but when your hitting the brake pedal it doesn't turn off. eventually when you push the brake pedal harder and it falls below 30mph it acts normal again
