Is it that simple to license and tune an '18 Terrain, spend the big bucks and go? Or do we need to send in the calibration and wait for "special unlocking"?

Try to read the file. You don?t need to use the credits to read the file
Sometimes you have to have internet connection and HPtuners will unlock the ecm remotely with out you even knowing. Can take up to 30 minutes.
I read something to the sort.
I couldn't read my ECM ( E80A 2018 Regal ), and then the next time I could.
If you have a 8 or 9 or 10 speed transmission, it's TCM is locked and has to be manually unlocked through the HPT unlocking service.
Trickle charge the battery before trying to read it. If the battery goes below a certain voltage during reading or writing, the ecm/tcm will be fried.
The newer ecm's tcm's take long time to read and write.
Ohh yea... what V said.. you don't need to spend any credits to read and save the ecm file.
