Unhappy Mid-range knock no matter what I do!

Having an issue tuning my 2017 Camaro SS. The only mods are primary cat, muffler delete, and cut stock air box. No matter what I do I seem to get a lot of knock in the 2400-3000 rpm range at around 40% throttle. I have attached two logs, the first is on 93 octane after lowering the timing several degrees from stock, the second is on roughly 60% ethanol with the timing significantly lower than stock (this is a dedicated ethanol tune, no sensor). It seems that no matter how I adjust the timing I still get knock in these areas. Both logs are maf only tunes. Is this false knock? Am I doing something else wrong? I'm fairly new to tuning.

Have you adjusted your Start Of Injection (soi) tables? Id try pulling a few degrees exactly where u see knock as well to test it out?

Cat deletes are notorious for false knock on LT1's. Never saw any reason to cut a stock airbox. You aren't getting any power from it and could throw off the MAF scale which could also attribute to your knock. You can try the SOI table and see if it helps but you will likely need to adjust your knock sensor behavior itself.

Thank you very much for the replies. I've tried doing some research on SOI but can't seem to find much information to give me a direction to go in. Any tips on beginning to tune this?

Log knock retard in a table set up exactly like the rows and columns of the SOI table. Then where there is knock you manually bump up those areas and smooth the surrounding cells slightly. Ive found that 320 and up to 330 degrees in knock areas helps tons.

Just to update the thread for others facing the same issue, increasing SOI completely resolved the issue. Anything near 300* was a problem, I upped it in line with the values you suggested. One additional question, does this principle work in higher rpm as well?
