2014 Silverado--No start after minor exhaust work

Drove the truck up on ramps, loosened the header to exhaust pipe connection, put on some RTV, reassembled and now, truck will not start. Starter spins the engine, will not fire. Dash screen reads 32 degrees, but it is about 70. Tried to relink vats with the scanner--says failed to unlock?? Any ideas. Scanner shows spark, injector pulses, Thanks

Disabled both vats and starter diag--write entire---still no start

Maybe the ground on the back of the head was on its last leg and...that would lose spark and all.

I will check it. It smells like gas when I crank it. I was thinking no spark---and was scratching my head where to start.
    Thanks

There is a braided ground strap from the firewall by the brake booster to the side of the drivers side head. Can't see one on the back. There is a blower so vision is limited. Let me know if I am missing something.

32 degree is normal.. all do that, BCM will reset it after 15 min of driving

Yeah, I'd check for spark and also for codes.

That ground has probably just been relocated. I've seen the braided part work its way loose before with a little engine movement. A quick jumper cable from the frame to the engine will tell you if it was the ground.

No codes. Pulled a plug and held it against the head and it fired. Got plenty of fuel too. Plug is wet. What the heck. Maybe I have the distributor a tooth off.---JK
The braided cable was a little loose. Tightened it and no difference. I will jumper the frame to block. GRRRRRRRR

Jumped the frame to the block---still no start. Here is a short log of cranking. We drove this truck on some ramps, took the exhaust pipes loose from the headers, put on some rtv, reassembled. let it sit and no start now.

WOW! All I can think of past that is the plugs are soaked or the rings got too clean (no oil after some gas) and lost compression. Weird.

Does the BCM have some kind of relink or reset? The dash is working a little different now. When you turn on the key, the gauges used to sweep. Now thy don't until you turn off the key.

I would try a battery disconnect/reconnect. Kind of resets everything.

Weird about the BCM but as long as you have spark and fuel I can't imagine the BCM is affecting anything.

    Check all fuses.
Some of the trucks have had an issue with the mega fuse junction block on the battery. Might be something to investigate.
