Thread: C7Z torque model/management issues :(

    C7Z torque model/management issues :(

Hoping someone can point me in a good direction.

    Car:
    2015 C7Z A8
Weapon-X cam with variable cam delete
    Whipple blower
    Low side fuel kit

    Issue:
I seem to be running into torque model or management issues. Commanding 99% throttle on a run, only getting 47% actual. As a result, not getting any boost. Everything else seems to be OK for now. Still working on SD tune, but I need to get my torque issue sorted so I can get into the higher pressure ratio areas on the map.

I've attached a couple logs with most things torque related logged. Also attached the tune. Can anyone help point me into the direction I'm missing?

If I get a moment I?ll look, who tuned it?

I'm working on tuning it. I've got access to a dyno.

Is there anything additional I need to log?

I tried to overshoot my driver demand and torque model thinking that was my issue but it doesn't seem to be changing any of the outcomes.

I have had the same issue when the maf is failed to dial in the VVE. IF you go to AIRFLOW---> ELECTRONIC THROTTLE----> PRESSURE RATIO LIMIT. I believe this the is culprit.

GAAA...I will try that and get back. Certainly smells like the bad actor here.

    Thanks!!!

The tune you posted isn't an SD tune, but you also aren't logging enough data. Take this config and pare it down to what you need or just use it all.

What am I missing for a SD tune? I have the MAF failed...or at least I think I do.

Anywho, attached is a log with the parameter list you provided and the current log file. Thank you for the help!!

Engine>Airflow>Dynamic enable/disable need to include your entire RPM range. I do 8192/8190.

Also p0101-p0103 mil on first error.

How is your bypass valve hooked up?

Bypass is plumbed to the S/C. I had a watcher verify that it's closing as I do a run.

Is the stock supercharger wiring still hooked up for the bypass valve??
I relive the new bypass is Vac regulated and not ECM controlled! But some kits still require to hook it up to satisfy the ECM

The stock bypass valve is not in the engine bay any longer.

Have you tried setting pressure ratio limits to 1.0 on engine>airflow>electronic throttle?

  17. #17
Here's the tune and log with the ETC pressure ratio set to 1.0.

Although this is a Maggie 2650... same applies for the whipple I believe (I don’t do the installs, I just calibrate them)

I hate that low side fuel pressure doesn't always log correctly on c7s. Is your low side kit kicking on confirmed?
