That sounds dangerous to me!
Was the original file from the same car? If so I'd contact support as it certainly should write back to the car it came from.
If it's a different car, I'd pull a file off the car and copy your changes from the tuned file to that file, then write it back to the car.
is it "a tuned file" or is it your OG file modified?
