i got another e38 ecm off ebay. its out of a 13 tahoe. can i remove my ecm from my ss and plug in the other to see if its readable? with no tuner lock?

The replacement E38 will need to be initially programmed with GM VIN based software, for your specific configuration.
its not the same question i was asking if the new ecm could be read this way to see if its tunerlocked. might be better to get a bench harness? thanks for the reply tho
