This may be a stupid question and I apologize in advance but I?m trying to help someone remove the vats on their 07 trailblazer. I?m getting the time out error and we?ve removed the head unit and checked for anything else in the harness and haven?t found anything. My Colorado is also an 07 and I see the pcms share the same part numbers. Is there any reason I can?t plug the pcm into my truck and just rewrite it?
Probably would work. I'm guessing you're talking about the 07 P12 PCMs here as there wasn't a V8 in the Colorado in 07.
Try unchecking the high speed read/write options, it takes much longer but can overcome some data bus issues.
