    Need T42 OS 24255281

    Hey everyone,

Working on a 4l80 swap and am looking for the TCM OS 24255281 Can't seem to find it in the repository

I'm having a hard time even finding what vehicle it came out of, but it may be tied to this E67 OS 12639299

    Thanks!

I found a weird EPA document that looks like the TCM OS could be tied to ECM OS 12656253 as well

The short answer is - you will not find one.

The last production year that a 4L80 was used in an OEM vehicle was 2009.

    T42 OS 24255281 was used in 2012 and 2013 trucks equipped with a 4L65.

T42 OS 24255281 is used in 6l80/6l90 > 4l80 swap harnesses; I am trying to do something similar and just need that OS.

    Not exactly.

The ECM and TCM must be able to communicate for proper vehicle function.

T42 TCM OS 24255281 could be used with an A6 to A4 conversion, in a 2012 or 2013 platform. It could not be used in a 2008 platform A6 to A4 conversion. In the 2008 instance, T42 TCM OS 24239927 would need to be used.

To use T42 TCM OS 24255281 (which was for 4L65 transmissions) to control a 4L80 transmission, would require either the addition of two relays in the conversions harness (a mechanical change), or the altering the 4L65 calibration to a 4L80 calibration - which cannot be completely accomplished using only HP Tuners.

I understand the differences you pointed out, but the reason I am asking for this info specifically is because someone is running this exact configuration in an identical vehicle to mine. This same person is supposedly using an aftermarket harness from a reputable company that has no relays in it either.

    Small Update to this:

    This Vin: 1GDS7DC48E1165012

Will get you TCM OS 24255281

I have also confirmed that this TCM OS will work with a 2009 CTSV with the E67 when you Wire the T42 onto the Canbus (along with some other wiring I will elaborate on in a later post.
