I have a 426 stroker with ported eagle heads, 6.4 intake and 1 3/4 headers 10.5 to 1 compression ratio. My tuner retarded this cam 9 degrees @ 6000 rpms. This seems excessive but what do I know? Is this too much?
Thanks

From all the tunes I have seen for cammed 6.4's, 6 degrees is normal. For a stroker it may need a little more. More volume, so more retard to help fill it. If it was dyno tuned, they probably swept the cam tables to find what makes the most power. Those headers might be holding back that combo.
