Hiccup while driving, wierd airflow calculation for split second

Car hesitates, randomly and inconsistantly. Customer said it seems less often when MAF plugged in but that doesnt make sense because its set for MAF fail speed density mode. At 9:13 you see SD calc go from low 1700s to 1200 in split second and back, timing jumps and all the while manifold pressure and TPS never change??

Some questions, what is the polling interval on pids. Reason I ask is can create a false impression. If map is not polled at same rate

    Its 0ms Fastest

Certainly not a slow sample rate you clearly see O2 oscillations

I had a similar thing a few years back, it was at a certain sport in the SD map, sold the car before I ever resolved it but I always felt it was some artefact of the SD to co-efficient conversion.

I’ve got something similar. I’ve never caught it while logging because it’s so random but when it does happen the wideband pegs rich. I’ve seen a couple topics about this lately, just not sure where to start. But in my case I run MAF only.

So no one? Just another sloppy math error issue by HPTuners likely?

So my understanding is the 0ms is auto. So it may not be as fast as setting it to 10ms. It is set to what they believe it should be polled. I changed all of mine to what I wanted. The logs looked much different.

So saying try 10 and it might actually show it doing something

So the Can-Bus can only move so much data. Everyone sets them all to zero (fastest LOL) then loads up the PIDs. I will be the first to admit I did this as well. Then my logging started getting weird. So stepped back and used my 30 years of computer science and it all made sense. I was trying to push 10 lbs of shit in a 5 lb bag.

So went in and set all the ones I really needed to 10ms and the other ones slower (example BARO sure do not need it polled at 10ms). In short I spent time figuring out what was important. Then copied that three times and made PID lists for fueling, timing and misfires. Eliminated all the extra PIDs in each and added the ones purpose specific. End result my logging was far more accurate and the random issues I thought were there disappeared. End result I found a couple of issues that caused some jerking. TQ mgmnt was pulling timing. Just never saw it happen.

    Just a thought
