Is it possible to repatch with 3 bar tune?

This a gen 3 2004 gm truck ecm original OS 12587603. We patched it by purchasing a 3 bar OS for a turbo motor. When we tried to turn on the flex fuel sensor we found it did not work. To get The flex fuel working, we will need to download entire a flex fuel tune. We have a licensed .hpt file for the flex fuel now. We will need to write entire to get that in. It is the same OS as the original in the truck ecm. So the question is will we need to purchase the patch again if is going into the same ecm with the same original OS? Would we download entire then pull out and patch and write entire again? Does not seem like we should have to purchase the patch again for the same ecm.
    Thanks

    Mike

Custom operating systems are free of charge.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

Thanks for letting us know the 3 bar OS was free. We were able to patch the flex fuel file and now have a reading flex fuel sensor. For some reason I had it in my head that we had to give 2 credits for that when we loaded it. Again thanks a lot!
