    Wideband and MPVi2?

    Hello everyone,
I have been looking into a wideband for optimal tuning so which would be best fitting for my application? I have a Gen4 LC9 E38 and I want to install a permanent wideband gauge. I've been looking at different AEM models. I plan on hardwiring the gauge so before I buy the wrong WB, which one should I go with? I do not want to piggyback all sorts of adapters and I would prefer tapping into the back of my OBD port (if possible) for any TX/RX signals for data logging into the MPVi2. Does anyone have a pinout or instructions for this?

You can cut the Piggyback connector off of the 30-0334 harness and wire it in, directly behind the OBD2 connector. Or, you can get a 30-0300, which has individual wires for the CAN lines. And, have it re-FLASHed to OBD2 mode.

The CANH and CANL wires, from the 30-03xx connect to PIN6 - ISO15765-4 (CAN Bus High ) and PIN14 ISO15765-4 (CAN Bus Low ) pins of the OBD2 test port connector.

Avoid the temptation to power the gauge from PIN16 ( +12v ). It is, as shown, always on. And, the gauge will drain the battery, when the engine is not running.

Thank you, so if I get an AEM 30-0334 it is 100% plug-n-play?

So this harness circled, is the one I would cut the plug off and splice the corresponding wires behind the OBD2 port?

Yes. Or, order the connector that goes into the gauge. And, make your own cable. Seems a bit of a shame to cut off a nice reusable OBDII connector

Thank you so much, that is a good idea. Is there a part number for the gauge connector?

    is this it?
