Can i save a file written from another MPVI and then use it with mine?

Can i save a file written from another MPVI and then use it with mine?

obviously i know i will have to unlock the ecu again using my mpvi2 but i had a friend tune my car last year on his mpvi and now that i have my own i want to retune for bigger injectors with mine but i would like to just edit the current tune in it instead of writing a whole new one and have it as a backup if anything goes wrong

    so basically, can i:

    1. read and save a file from another mpvi?

    2. use and edit that same file after i unlock my ECU again with my mpvi2?

Yes, you can read and save the file on the computer currently. Then you can license that file, make yours changes, save it and flash that into the computer like normal.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.
