I?m doing a phaser lockout on my 2005 f150 5.4 triton. Any suggestions on how to delete the vct and to tune it

Locking out the phaser is going to kill the low end torque it is not recommended at all.

Phasers don't just go bad. More details in my pre tune write up. http://www.efidynotuning.com/pre.htm

In any case you kill the phasers by disabling the VCT switch and the VCT FMEM switch.

Tuning it is no different than any other ford.

I had a guy approach me yesterday with the lockouts installed and wants me to do the vct delete. Sounds easy enough to get in there and turn the vct off. I'm not familiar with the fords yet though and would like to get him a little better power while im in there. Do these platforms have 25 mapped points like the ecoboost OS...? Lots of tables on fords I need to get my feet wet though and try getting better with it.

Just curious if anyone has a file or tune for a 2005 F150 w/ 5.4 (or similar) that I can try playing with on the demo tuner? The owner wants the lockout installed at some point and I?d like to play with the idle on it. I know the proper way to fix the VCTs, but it?s already been done once by dealer and I don?t feel like helping to replace the system myself. Thanks
